Game Introduction

What is Onimusha: Way of the Sword?

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is Capcom's single-player swordplay action game set in a dark-fantasy version of early Edo-period Kyoto. Players take control of Miyamoto Musashi, a samurai wielding the mysterious Oni Gauntlet against supernatural creatures known as Genma.

Combat revolves around satisfying sword clashes, parries, deflects, Issen attacks, soul absorption, and supernatural Oni abilities. It is the first completely new Onimusha title in more than twenty years and combines historical Japanese locations and figures with the series' signature supernatural fantasy.
