Onimusha: Way of the Sword on Xbox Series X|S

Check Onimusha Xbox availability, Play Anywhere and saves, Game Pass cloud-purchase requirements, editions and performance-label limits.

Quick answer

Onimusha: Way of the Sword has an Xbox Series X|S listing with Xbox Play Anywhere and cloud saves. The US store's cloud-play wording requires a game purchase; a Game Pass reference there does not mean the game is included in the subscription catalog.

Xbox store checked October 21, 2026. Availability and subscription requirements are regional and can change.

Is Onimusha on Game Pass?

The checked Xbox listing describes cloud play with an eligible subscription and game ownership. Check the offer on your own account before paying: a cloud-streaming entitlement and access to an included catalog game are different purchases.

This page does not establish an included Game Pass version.

Xbox Play Anywhere and PC saves

Microsoft's Play Anywhere explanation describes supported purchases as playable across Xbox console, Windows PC and supported handhelds, with progress, add-ons and achievements following the account.

To use that route, sign in with the purchasing Xbox account on the other supported device and check its library. On PC, use the Xbox app. A Steam or Epic purchase is not evidence of ownership of the Microsoft-store edition.

For Windows hardware requirements, Steam and AMD Rewards, see the PC guide. There is no verified cross-store save-transfer procedure on this page.

Does it run at 60 fps on Xbox?

The store lists 60 fps+, 4K, HDR10, VRR and ray tracing among its capabilities. These labels do not establish a locked 60 fps result on both Series X and Series S, or prove that every feature runs together in one mode.

No separate Series X/S benchmark is presented here. For comparison, the PS5 guide and Switch 2 guide clearly identify their platform-specific samples.

Which edition should I check?

The US store lists Standard, Deluxe and Premium Deluxe. Compare the named add-ons against what you want before choosing an upgrade. For cosmetic claiming, use outfits and sword appearances; for physical collector packaging, use SteelBook and collector editions.

Digital extras do not establish the contents of a physical retailer's box.

Why does the store show a different release date?

The checked US Xbox page still displayed September 25, while Capcom's August announcement named September 4. See the release-date history for that change; the old store field is not evidence of a second launch.
